This came up randomly on my changing desktop just now and I have 1) no idea where I found it and 2) if its a guy or a girl. I *think* its a guy but if anyone (named Kaz ) can shed any light on either the character or the artist I'd be grateful.

The original filename was a string of numbers and the words "matoba-o".

Anyhow I think s/he's very cool.

The character was easy to find but I've had no success with the artist, I'm afraid... This is Seiji Matoba from Natsume Yuujinchou (one of the later seasons, I assume, since I didn't recognise him). And my word, people do seem to enjoy shipping him and Natsume. As coincidence would have it I found I too have a picture of him in my photos and didn't know until now who he is! He does look quite a cool character so I must continue with the other seasons of Natsume Yuujinchou... I think you might like it too, Saddles. Would recommend.

Now, as for the artist... Faintly, in the bottom right corner, I see is written "Kuro Necko/Neck0 2011". I assume this is the artist's name and the date the picture was made. Above that, in katakana, is ノエル, spelling Noeru (possibly Noël?). I've searched Zerochan, Pixiv, and DeviantART but I can't find this particular image or artist anywhere. Google has yielded nothing either.

Hmm. I suppose you could call it a supernatural slice-of-life. It's a very gentle and calm series. Episodic. It's a little reminiscent of Mushishi though the animation isn't so beautiful.

Thanks. I google-imaged it and saw what looked like a lot of spirits, etc. It reminded me of Mononoke a little. I will watch the first couple of episodes and see how it goes.
