As an American, I didn't appreciate the film clip, makc... If you have no better answers to a post of mine, I would appreciate that you keep such comments to yourself, thank you... It was an unnecessary reminder of almost 3,000 deaths...

Watched "Onward", a movie about two elfen boys attempting to bring back their deceased father back to life for one day through magic and the trials and tribulations they encountered while on their quest...

An interesting story...

Couldn't sleep last night, so I watched "Coco" again... Enjoyed the music...

Was skipping channels this afternoon and noticed that "To Kill a Mockingbird" was starting, so I watched it... Reminded of the 'Jim Crow' nature of the American South even in my youth... I did see 'Whites Only' signs on restaurants and drinking fountains and restrooms... A sad tale, but a wonderful book (read 2 or 3 times) and watched the wonderful acting and storyline followed from the book.
--------------------------
I remember in 1964 being in a grey Navy station wagon one afternoon and there were four of us inside on our way for our enlistment Physicals... in the afternoon, the recruiter stopped for a rest break at a place that had one of these signs and he and two of the others went in and Tyrone Brown and I stayed in the car and figured that if politicians would listen to people like us, we could solve the race hatred in the South...

Oh, the naivete of youth... Of course, I had been raised in Canada and later in California before my family moved to Virginia... THEN I found out what hatred towards another Race was like... Not being familiar with the 'Southern Accent' I told a man, while at a welcoming party for my stepdad, that he sounded just like a black man!!! He stepped forward, grabbed me by my shirt collar and slammed me against a tree and said, "If you weren't my friends son, I'd beat the XXX out of you for saying that!" Oh, yeah, I learned a lesson that day...

Regardless, I again, enjoyed the movie...

The other day I watched The Story of Yanagawa's Canals, a mostly live-action documentary Takahata made in the 80s about a town that revived its canal system. Very detailed and maybe a bit long, but quite interesting too. Worth a look, I think.

Just watched the classic 90's film, Air Force One.

President Harrison Ford taking on a group of terrorists that hijacked Air Force One. Never saw it before. Very entertaining and exciting

"The Black Stallion" (1979) with Kelly Ryan; Hoyt Aston and Mickey Rooney... A story about a boy and a horse lost at sea and stranded on a deserted island...

Followed by "National Velvet" (1944) with Elizabeth Taylor; Mickey Rooney and Anne Revere about a horse loving 12-yr old girl (Elizabeth Taylor) who becomes the owner of a rambunctious horse that she decides to train for England's Grand National... Granted, she was only 12, but it was the first time I ever saw Liz Taylor with a boys haircut...

I saw Avatar 2 last night. It was visually beautiful and the store was epic in scale. Some parts were a bit cheesy, but overall it was great. I think I'll see it again in theaters, this time in 3D.

Watched "Red Dog: True Blue"

A live action film of a boy and his dog. living with his Grandpa in the Australian Outback during or shortly after the Vietnam (which has nothing to do with the story just establishing the time)...

An OK, movie...

Found that this was a 'prequel' to a movie titled "Red Dog", about a legendary dog roaming the Outback.

Last night I saw Decision to Leave, the newest Park Chan-wook film. I thought I wouldn't get the chance to see it but it happened to come back to cinemas briefly. I'm glad I did get to see it!

I also saw decision to leave recently. Really beautifully shot, although I felt quite confused for parts of the movie and didn't understand why some things were happening. Glad I saw it though.

I just finished watching the 2022 version of "Firestarter" and enjoyed the suspense... Many, MANY years ago, I watched the 1984 version with Drew Barrymore, but don't remember much about it... I have ordered it over Netflix with the 2002 ("Firestarter 2: Rekindled" sequel to follow...(Never knew about the 2002 movie)...
