Listening to a series of different folksongs, by their original artists, and singing along with all of them... Good Memories.

Came across the title "Seven Spanish Angels" in something that I read and remembered that Willie Nelson had recorded it, so I went online and found a copy of his rendition... Now, I've heard the song before, but this time I sat and listened and before the song was over, I wept... I still have tears in my eyes as I type this... A very moving song, to me at least...

Oh wow I remember. Celtics Women. I heard them years ago and was obsessed. I'll have to look up some of the stuff with their new members. Thanks Husky

I'm listening to Drifting by On an On. Perfect middle of the night song.

Listening to Piano concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky by the NHK Symphony Orchestra IX.. The Pianist, Koyama Michie, her hands, at times, flash over the keys!! And unlike the rest Orchestra, she has no sheet music in front of her...

encore:

Rakhmaninov Prelude Op. 32 N0.5

Got an email from a friend a while ago who mentioned Roger Whittaker, the singer... It has been awhile since I last listened to him sing, so I went to YouTube and been there over an hour, listening to him and some others that showed up in the lists...
A duet by Ray Price and Willie Nelson singing "Seven Spanish Angels"; A medley of "Green, Green Grass of Home" with Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Elvis Presley; and a number of Whittaker recordings: "River Lady"; "I Have to Leave ol' Durham town"; "Farewell" and others, some of which brought a tear...

By the way, for those who only know Elvis with his Rock n Roll or Gospel music may not be aware that he was heard by Hank Snow (A Canadian-born Country and Western singer at Nashville's 'Grand Ole Opry') and in 1954 persuaded the the Opry directors to put Elvis on its Country-Western stage there... Snow also connected him with 'Colonel' Parker and Elvis went on and up from there...

Right now listening Back in Black
Anyone here listening AC DC?

I wouldn't ever say no to ACDC, classic stuff. Though I don't normally seek them out very often on my own.

Listening to Quietly Yours by Birdy right now. Perfect soundtrack for the time of night where you wonder if it's night or do you call it morning. It's 4am lol.

I've been listening to YOASOBI lately. They're a Japanese pop duo who write songs based on novels, short stories, and manga. Their singles are accompanied by beautiful animated MVs produced by indie animators. Sometimes the MV bears no resemblance to the original story, as they usually leave it up to the animators to interpret the song however they want.

My favorite song, Gunjou, is one of those cases. The song is based on the manga Blue Period, but the MV tells an original story.

Oh, I think I heard something from Yoasobi at some point! At the very least I've heard OF them.

Oh, they're quite popular now! They provided the OP/ED theme for some popular anime that have aired recently, such as Oshi no Ko, Beastars, Gundam Witch, and Frieren, which is currently airing.

Came across "Celtic Woman, 20th Anniversary" again and am now listening and watching it AGAIN!!! lol.

Hard to believe that it's been that long... Chloe was only 16 or so at the start...

(edit)
Watching Mairead dancing ALL OVER the stage while playing her violin is truly amazing to me!!! How she can keep her hair from getting tangled in the strings and bow is a wonder!!! And yes, she was barefoot again, lol

I'm sitting at home by myself and when she finished her set, I started applauding and crying (tears of joy, this time) at the same time... it, and her performance, was so beautiful!
