Eden of the East *Spoiler warning*

Hey I have watched the episodes of Eden of the east as well as the two follow up films that complete the storyline.

I was just wondering what other people who have seen it thought of it. Me personally loved the series and the first film but felt the concluding film let the side down and was unnecessary. The film King of eden could have easily finished the storyline off with a decent ending if the film was made a little bit longer.
I was talking to my film studies teacher about it and he felt like me, the film Paradise Lost was made for the sake of extending the storyline just to make another film.

Don't get me wrong the storyline was brilliant and so was the ending, and how it was ended, I just felt the last film lacked something the series and first film had but I don't know what.

Anyway just wanted to get peoples opinions on the subject.

Post in the correct part of the forum?

More seriously, I have seen the TV series but not the films. Don't plan to either as the ending of the series was a good enough conclusion for me.

Woops, didn't relise.

As to what you said I sort of agree, I didn't mind the ending of the films but they could have done something better with it.

The series was absolutely brilliant though, one of the best I have seen!

What was never answered though was why, at the start, Akira was naked in Washington DC carrying only a gun and his cell phone. I was waiting for that to be resolved all through the series but it never was, not specifically at any rate. A huge loophole in logic really...

I think it was for the simple fact that he had had his memory wiped, and most likely something to do with a request from juiz. What with his attempt at playing terrorist to save the NEET's. Thats what I put it down to and i think thats what your meant to think because there is no definate answer given.
Although I agree there is a gaping hole in logic. I think you are left to piece it together with what you learn throughout the story, and I definately know you don't find out in any of the films that follow.

The series is fine without the movies actually. The ending kinda killed it a little. In fact, it would've been better to just make a season two.

Thats exactly what I thought, the films seem to me to rush the plot to much, and you lost alot of the characteristics of the celacao, especially number 1 in the last film!

I wish the series was longer.
