  Hiya

Hello! I'm Helen, or you can call me Zuu, either one is fine. I'm a bit of a WWII nut, mainly fascinated by the Red Army though. I just have a bit of an obsession with Russia over-all. As for Ghibli, I'm guilty for a Haku and Howl obsession. I tend to cosplay from time to time as well. I'm a bit shy at first, but I'll gradually warm up to you.

Hopefully I'll warm up to everyone and have a great time here.

And you are more than welcome to warm up at your own pace. I don't think any of us bite (not to sure about Roarkiller) So have your rabies vaccine ready...

I'll tell a bit about me...
I'm the oldest active member in the Tavern at 65, live in So Calif and love Ghibli. I have some photos posted in the photo thread. I think the reason that I love Ghibli so much is that it reminds me of the Japan I lived in in the mid-60's. I was on a ship homeported in Yokosuka, Japan and, because my step-dad was on the same ship, my mom and sis were there as well. We lived in a suburb of Yokosuka and I got to see a part of the country that the usual sailors and tourists didn't get to see.

I'm pretty much retired now, just work a couple of days a week and go to bingo games with friends...

The name escapes me for the moment, but there is another Texas lady in here, too. And there was a young Indian girl who lives near the Acoma area, but haven't 'seen' her for awhile...

Again, welcome...

Welcome to the mysterious and lively universe of Studio Ghibli.

You will have a great time and meet great people here.

A bit about me ,

i am the craziest studio ghibli fan here . I have got almost everything of studio ghibli from all movies to individual music clips. Trying to gather up all the collectibles. Next target is to go to the ghibli museum, maybe ghibli staff if possible the directors. Hoping for the best preparing for worst.

Anything about ghibli movies that you can not find directly you can come to me[unless it is a collectible]. Although i am not always online but i surely get in touch with tavern once in a while.

oh.another thing..... you will understand that later.

@husky51

Aww man..but glad to know most of you guys don't.

Speaking of Southern California, I grew up in Tehachapi (well, I suppose that's more Central California..more so on the border of it) for several years, but we had to move to Texas due to my father's work. Aah, you lived in Japan for a while? How cool! I bet it lovely and quite an experience..well until you get used to it heh. I think I've seen her around here, she happens to be a Howl fan as well?

And thank you for the welcome. ^^

@jusomekid

Thank you very much!

@saviour2012

Hehe awesome. I'll be sure to keep you in mind when I do, thank you.

I charge Husky with giving Roar a bad reputation.

On the chance that that theory gets shot down, I charge Roar with false advertising of having mod-rabies.

Also, welcome! ^^

Hi Zuu! My father and boyfriend are WWII fanatics, and I'm trying to teach my boyfriend about what happened in WWII here in the west (he was only taught about what happened in Asia and in his country predominantly, so he knows very little about what else happened).

He's got a collection of occupied Japan money notes from his country from the 40s and a pamphlet about America's plans for his country during WWII that wasn't supposed to be released but his friend owned and sold to him. It's pretty cool and in mint condition.

Anyhow, I'm one of the active members on here. Most call me FFF. I have a mini collection of all Totoro related items (and oddly, most of it was bought here in Canada). I like Kpop and tea parties alongside Ghibli films, and am probably one of the girlier members. :B I tend to rant, but only because I don't have many people to talk to.

I'm in the process of preparing for the first move in my life. XD

FFF quote:

"...and am probably one of the girlier members."

I could say...

You're a girl!!!!!

or

Well, yore shore girlier than me, little missy... (said with a John Wayne drawl)

but I won't...

hahaha, funnin' with ya...

Never heard the term 'girlier' used before by a girl. My son was called girlier than a boy because of his long hair as a young man of 9-10...
