I didn't get round to bringing this up as early as I did last time, but I want to start getting ready for the next Ghibli Cup!

First, I'd like to pick out the host, and then I can make a logo for it. Last time I came up with some suggestions and made a poll. Should we do it the same way again, or does anyone have other ideas?

The other thing I'm thinking about is making some adjustments to the qualification round (the first part in December). I still want to do this because I like how it narrows things down a bit, but I'm considering doing only part of it on the forum, and also doing parts on the Facebook page and Discord. The idea is that it could help make people aware that the Ghibli Cup is happening even if they don't regularly visit the forum.

Please post your views on these two points! If you have other questions or ideas, those would be welcome too.

Nice work on the logo btw, it's cute! The ship's wheel for the 0 is a nice touch.

Thank you!! I had to think a bit harder to come up with an idea for this logo since there aren't any mascots or anything, but doing the nautical theme was fun.

Oh also, I realised I forgot to point this out before: the times I'm giving this year will all be in GMT. This is purely for my own convenience so I don't accidentally miss the closing time. Please keep that in mind, especially when we get to the main tournament!

Another thing I want to point out is that I adjusted the wording in some of the rules on tiebreakers, because I realised (a) it was unclear and (b) it kinda hindered the goal of increasing variety in the results each year. The rules now specify that when there is a tie in the qualifying stage, if EITHER one didn't qualify last time, their best ever results will be compared.

Anyway, apart from that, there are still a couple more days to go in the qualifying stage. If you haven't voted yet, remember to do so by Saturday!
