My Neighbour Totoro (currently ranked joint #6) and first-time semi finalist When Marnie Was There (currently ranked #11) have met in the knockout stages once before, when Totoro narrowly won in the 2019 quarter final. Last year they met in the group stage though, and Marnie comfortably progressed at Totoro's expense.

RESULT

Voting in Semi Final 1 is over! The poll ended in a 2-2 tie, so When Marnie Was There progresses, since won by a bigger margin in the quarter final.

Next is the final, which will run from Friday 5 to Monday 8.
