While Kiki's Delivery Service (currently ranked #10) got as far as the semi finals in 2020, this is a first-ever quarter final for Grave of the Fireflies (currently ranked joint #12)! Their only meeting so far was in the group stage in 2019, where Kiki's Delivery Service had the upper hand.

Voting in Quarter Final 1 is over! The winner is Kiki's Delivery Service, defeating Grave of the Fireflies by 5 votes to 1.

It will go on to face Princess Mononoke in the semi finals, beginning this Friday.
