After comfortable wins in the quarter finals, these two are both in the semi finals for the second time. Both Kiki's Delivery Service (ranked #10) and Princess Mononoke (ranked joint #3) last got this far in 2020, but they have never actually met each other in the knockout stages. Their only meeting was in last year's group stage, where Mononoke edged out Kiki in a tiebreaker after they finished on equal points.
