This the first time these two have faced each other in a knockout match, but they met in the 2021 group stage, where When Marnie Was There (currently ranked #6) came out on top on the way to the final. They were in the same group last year too, and that time Kiki's Delivery Service (currently ranked #2) won - and also went on to the final!

That's the end of voting in Quarter Final 1! The winner is Kiki's Delivery Service, which beats When Marnie Was There by 4 votes to 3.

It will go on to face Princess Mononoke in the semi finals from this Friday to next Monday.
