'Twas the Darkest of the twilights,
Near a moonly silver skyroad
When the Lords heard tell in mem'ry
Of the Darkwein of Abefrei.

While searching for life's daybreak,
Came they then to distant forests -
Streaked with richly pixied dustbeams
And the call of slumber's bells.

The colours of the moantime
Painted roads of flitter dreams,
Yet ne'er could the roaming
Find the cold Dreamslumber's key.

The foam of mountains rose
For crescents of the mourning,
As sunly sweet-made runefair
Let them safely pass astern.

They searched throughout the East rise
One the plains of eversorrow.
They wandered through the valleys,
There and back from no return.

For a many penny moment,
As the Dreamslumber slithers in,
They can still catch morning dewbells
An they waken safely dry.

It's the letters in the water
And the tireless eyes of slumber
That will keep them ever searching
For the Darkwein of Abefrei.

I liked your poem, JRR. It was very light-hearted.


I sold my soul to the Devil today,
Although he warned me not to.
"The stockmarket's down," he said.
"And souls don't get you much nowadays.
What with inflation and all that."

He said perhaps I should think more about it.
And call him back next week.

Little Tanuki's writing is good, tells a story. dont usually see that as much nowadays.

JRR's **** is good, but dosnt belong here.

Ran around the empty house
He nibbled and gnawed and chomped and chewed
And did things to a mouse

It's really good

If I had to make any criticism, it would be that the lines are more solid on the left part than the right part.

But that isn't a huge problem.
