I'm going trick or treating with my younger sister. XP Although I kinda wanted to go with my friends, but then little sis would be bummed.
I wore my halloween costume to school yesterday, though, because it was the last weekday before Halloween. It was excitin'.

I have a plan now: watching Strictly Come Dancing followed by some horror movies.

this is going to be the first halloween that I'm not really doing anything. so... I'm just gonna pop in a DVD and wait for the trick-or-treaters that have stopped coming up our street... *sighs*

Halloween was actually last night in Australia, and it's hardly celebrated at all sadly. I walked around my are with some friends, and then rented Trick 'r Treat and watched it. It was a fun movie.

Bah, holidays are all commercialised now. Personally, I don't even see the point of celebrating a Celtic holiday, especially if you're not Celtic in the first place (which would be like nearly everyone). Try looking up a couple of your favourite holiday "traditions" and you'll see that they never existed before commercialization, like treat-or-treating.
Call me old-fashioned, but I personally believe that holidays should be celebrated for their original reason, not because Wal-mart has a 50% off promotion, if you get my drift.

I went to a halloween party dressed as a black cat. It was a reallly, really fun night!
@Roar - Personally I find that way of thinking vaguely pretentious. It's like saying, don't celebrate christmas unless your a christian. Yes holidays are commercialised but so what? I'd rather spend money buying a costume and halloween chocolate and all that commercialised rubbish and get into the swing of things then get up on my high horse about it. As long as everybody has fun then it's money well spent. Anyway holidays like halloween and christmas, though not celebrated as the original founders intended, provide a lot of families opportunities to spend time together and a nice occasion to look forward to. I don't know about anybody else but when I was little I could never wait for halloween, trick or treating in my (oh yes, homemade) squirrel costume and going to halloween parties was amazing. Go tell the next little kid that knocks on your door that you don't believe in halloween becuase its commercialised. I'm sure that they'll think the world of your views.
Aha sorry for the rant ^^' it's just something that people moan about year after year and it really gets on my nerves.
