Ok, this isn't a "favourite Joe Hisaishi song"-thread but more like you can post Joe Hisaishi youtube video's (or just song names) that you love and explain why you love that song and how it makes you feel. I'll start:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1ni1sVCgEk . One summer's day is probably the one of Hisaishi's youtube video's that I've seen the most number of times. I love it, because it just feels so real and heartfelt. There's no big orchester , just Hisaishi and his piano. When I hear this song, I always get the image in my head of Chihiro sitting in the back of her family's car being miserable because she has to move. The song is really gentle and sad in some way. I always feel this kind of unexplainable sadness/longing when I listen to this song, the whole song is so emotional. I think that a big part of why I love this song is the way Hisaishi plays it, he doesn't play it just technically right, he puts loads of feeling into playing this song.

This gives me shivers every time. Amazing concert!
I'm in love with the part with just Hisaishi playing the piano and the solo violinist

What's torrent? I need to see the whole concert...

Bit-torrent is a way of sharing files over the internet. That concert was released on blu-ray in Japan, but not elsewhere, so someone has uploaded a rip of it on the internet for others to download, and view as a video file.
You can find it here:
http://www.bakabt.com/148337-joe-hisaish...-720p-live.html
To download torrents you first need to have a torrent downloading program installed on your computer, then you open the torrent files in this to download your files. Just search BitTorrent on google. It may look a little complicated, but it is in fact pretty easy. An important aspect of bit-torrent sharing is seeding, where you allow others to download from your computer after you have the files you need.
There are of course some legal issues connected with torrent-sharing, but that site I linked to is very reliable, and only uploads stuff that are not yet licensed outside of Japan. For the most part, at least.

Two Hisaishi tunes I really like are both from Tonari no Totoro. I love the opening song, Sampo, and the song after that, Gogatsu no Mura, just because I think they're beautiful and they make me feel happy, like everything's perfect and nothing can go wrong.
