WL: I had a student blow up at my co-teacher during class and she stormed out after throwing her books and almost her desk. It's really awkward when you can't understand what is happening. We talked about it afterwards but I was pretty shaken.

May I ask what she (the student) was angry about?

HL:
Heading for San Diego today for the monthly volunteer Work Party on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on one of the Navy bases there. Because of the weather, we haven't been able to hold a Work Party for the last two months, so this will be the first one of this year... Those of us who are there repair and maintain the boats in the Memorial.

Oh my goodness, wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm actually not sad at all about having less time for social media lol. I find ways to keep in touch with the important people in my life without all the new age platforms.

Mixed light: time is going too fast! I want to freeze frame every moment with baby.

Just make as many memories as you can... I frequently remember past times with my children with fondness and sometimes wish that they were still present and not just in my mind.

With all the grandkids that I now have (20), I still try and keep in touch with the distant ones and see the closer ones as much as possible and make new memories. I love them all. My oldest child is 45 and I sometimes wonder how so many memories can have piled up in those years with all of the kids and grandkids...

Cherish the little time that they are young as that time will seem to have flashed by in later years...

Whoops! I forgot, I now have a Ghibli Grand-daughter... lol so 21 in all... lol

Take care of yourself and love to your family...

LL: My coworker is back on his BS and called my face fat yesterday. He just defended himself saying he's an honest person.

He also, upon finding out my friend's boyfriend is Japanese, told me how jealous he is and that her boyfriend is lucky to be with a white woman. He then told me that's every Japanese guy's dream. Cue me being pretty grossed out and just staring at him like "wtf". It got worse and I got mad and reminded him that he's married. Why he felt the need to say any of that to me was... ugh. And in the office.

@FFF

Is there anyone in the office/school where you are at that you can either complain or at least let your feelings about this guy be known? Not necessarily to get him in trouble, but to just back the heck off!!

Hoping for the best for you...

No. :/ I don't want to bring it up to the VP because it'll get him in trouble when I'd rather talk it out with him before doing anything like that. I'm not close enough with the other teachers to say anything. I don't wanna start anything that might affect his reputation, and people gossip here a lot.

Most of my friends would report a teacher to their VP or supervisor over things like this, but since I'm closer with him I'd rather confront him about it myself. I think it would really hurt his feelings if I had a third party intervene. Unless he gets WORSE.

I can't bring him up to my coworkers outside of that school because they try and pair us together, although he's married.

Frankly I'd say it's bad enough already. You'd be better off going above him than trying to keep it a secret. I get the feeling that without some kind of formal reprimand, nothing will change.

In any case, good luck.

Not knowing with anything more than what I've read in here, I would have to agree with arren's assessment, FFF
Good Luck...

LL:
Watching a miles long procession/escort for a CHP sergeants body who was killed in a collision, apparently by someone speeding on the right shoulder, crushing the Officer between two vehicles. Sad for me as I once worked for the CHP...

All the local and some distant police and fire departments are participating in the procession...

LL: Hi guys i hope you are doing great. Past few months have been a little bit difficult for me from a career perspective. I have worked for one and a half year for my current company. Now I have three choices that I can go for, 1. Continue working here for the good salary, which is above market average 2. Change job to a different company 3. Take a low stress job and prepare for higher study(PhD).

From a logical point of view 1 and 2 makes a lot of sense. But I like the number 3 option more. The issue with number 3 is, there is a bit of risk involved as it is not guaranteed that I will get full funding plus living expenses. Because otherwise I can't afford it.

The reason 1 is not the best decision is because although I get a good salary now. This company is not good for my future growth from a career perspective. Although I am not unhappy I am also not happy regarding many of the decisions the management has taken recently.

I think I have to take a decision in the next one or two months. This is making me a bit uneasy. As this is going to be a major decision mentally and a little bit on the financial side too.

Hoping that everything works out.

I wish you all the best in your decision in this matter. It is obvious that you have given this much thought and I hope that everything works out for you...
