Gossip of the Starlings by Nina de Gramont.
I dunno if I'm going to finish it though... It tells you that it's headed badly and I don't wanna get attached to the characters only to lose them. D:

The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. I kept seeing people reading her stuff on the train and curiosity got the better of me. Not sure what I think yet.

It's really good! Quite slow to start, but it turns into a real page-turner. In a good way.

Rereading "Tuesdays With Morrie" - Mitch Albom
My favorite book of all time! I learned a lot from it.

Such an awesome book!
@Arren: I'm really liking it, actually. I don't mind the slowness since it's going somewhere. xD

I always thought the series went downhill about halfway through the second book. The plot starts getting burdened by all of Pullman's arguments against religion. And this is coming from an atheist.
The first book is truly wonderful though.
And yes, Hitchhiker's Guide is awesome.

I tried it, but for some reason I just could not get into it. I gave it awhile but I just didn't like it, I think it might simply have been that it isn't my kind of genre.
I am currently reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, which is hardly a 'summer read' but i'm determined to get through it. It's good in it's way, I find Russian culture very interesting, but I think Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky had more depth.

I dunno, I'm not into crime fiction either. And my mum definitely isn't, but she was the one who recommended it to me.
And Orphic: I've heard people say that, and I do understand, but I never found it to be a problem.
