| Stage adaptation of princess mononoke, help wanted! |       |
Hello there,
I am sure you have all heard that there is an upcoming production of Princess Mononoke being performed in London in April. I am the stage manager for the production and am currently recruiting people based in the Uk who might be interested in making the weapons for the show. I am specifically looking for people to make the spears and 2 of the umbrella style weapons used by Jigo and his riflemen, and was hoping that there might be some people on this forum who would be able to do this or would know of someone who would be interested in helping us out.
We are a fledgling theatre company putting on the show because of our love of it, and everyone involved is working for free. We have a (limited!!) budget for materials but would regrettably be unable to cover any more than the cost of materials. In addition, whilst we do have a basic workshop space in Leamington Spa, we do not have any specialised tools, so I am hoping to be in contact with freelance people. So far I have found many people willing to work for free due to their love of the film and the genre and I am really hoping that this will happen again.
It is a really exciting project to be working on, especially as we are working in conjunction with Studio Ghibli, and we are always interested to hear from people with a passion for the film/genre.
