Guyver anybody?

Anyone familiar with the manga/anime series Guyver(any version)? I watched the entire 2005 series in under a week because I enjoyed it so much. So does anybody else like it besides me?

I've only seen the live action movies...and frankly, they weren't great! I'm sure the anime series is better though, I quite like the plot.

I have a couple of the Guyver animations. I don't know how I got them but its cool in some ways. I let my son watch it too and he likes it. But he favors Ghibli produced films.

The live action one sucked.

Some guy turns into a bio-type of armor when activated. That's all I can remember. It's been awhile since I watched that.

Not quite as gory as Fist of the North Star.

Yeah, basically, this random guy finds this strange thing which takes him over, and ever since then he can turn into this thing that's practically a humanoid living tank. It involves some more random people who turn into monsters, and he kills them in various quite gory ways.

I remember the original guyver was the first proper anime i was exposed too, except transformers and the moomins i rememebr watching a few eps on VHS when i was about 9 and being slightly traumatised

But i watched it all ( still on tape, amkes me feel old ) when i was about 13-14 good series.

havent seen these remade versions though, dunno if i trust them to do a good job of it

I've never seen the original series, so i don't know if they made a particularly good job of the new one. I liked it though

The ending is a bit of a letdown though. I won't say what happens, but I'll say that much.
